London Collections: Men S/S 17

From the 10th June to the 11th June, I attended London Collections: Men, Spring/Summer 2017.

On the 10th June I was helping backstage for Topman Design's Spring/Summer 2017 collection, then watched the show. For the second time working with Topman Design, it has been truly amazing and an unforgettable experience. After the show I was fortunate to be able to attend most of the shows and presentations held at London Collections: Men, a lot more compared to A/W 16.

Soon after Topman Design's show, I witnessed Per Gotesson's S/S 17 presentation, which was overall fantastic! The clothes were incredible, I'm obsessed with the oversized denim trousers! And I loved the colour palette he used throughout the collection! Next I saw Charley Jeffrey's S/S 17 show, which was fascinating, dramatic and beautiful. After that I saw Bobby Abley S/S 17 show, the Aladdin inspired collection was bold and striking. I next witnessed Craig Green's S/S show. I'm a massive fan of Craig Green, and his latest work certainly did not disappoint! It was truly breathtaking! And finally ending day one was Astrid Anderson, which I unfortunately wasn't able to take any photos of the collection due to running out of battery, which I was so annoyed about! Especially as I was sat on the front row too! Could of captured some incredible photos! But oh well! The luxury sport-street collection was truly sensational.

Up and early for the second day of London Collections: Men! The first spectacular show was Agi & Sam's Spring/Summer 2017 show. Inspired by Agricultural Warickshire in the late nineties. The floral and delicate details were simply beautiful, loved the accessories used. Next was Nasir Mazhar's S/S 17 show, which I found very powerful and dominating. Finally finishing my LCM experience, I wondered around the showrooms, which displays up and coming menswear designers, and designers which are a little more established, but are still contemporary. I also got to see yesterday's favourite of mine, Craig Green, showing a limited timed scheduled showroom which showed some of the main pieces of the latest Spring/Summer collection, and to top it off I got to see Craig Green himself as he was there for press/questions etc! And that was truly the icing on top of the cake for me!

Overall I have had an incredible experience at London Collections: Men, and none of it would of been possible if it wasn't for TOPMAN Design, being a head sponsor of the main event! Now after completing my second internship at Topman Design - Arcadia, It has been an absolute pleasure to work on a second collection with them! All of the TMD team have been outstanding and wonderful and I want to thank them all for the amazing opportunities they have gave me!
